Is there an Ice Cream Social this year?
No, there won't be an Ice Cream Social at Sand Creek this year. There is an option to take a self-guided tour, you can request to meet your teacher over Zoom before school begins (Monday, August 2, teachers will send Zoom links), and Meet the Teacher Night (Monday, August 9, times to be determined).

When are class assignments announced?
Class assignments and teachers' names are shared via Skyward on Friday, July 30 around 3PM.

When are bus stops and times posted?
Check Skyward. This information will be posted when teachers are posted, on July 30 around 3PM. Also, check again in the days before school starts. Bus stop times can change slightly at the last minute.

When can we meet our teachers?
Meet the Teacher Night will be Monday, August 9. There are 2 identical sessions:
Session 1: 6-6:40PM
Session 2: 6:40-7:30 PM
These sessions are for students' adults to meet the teachers and see the classrooms.
Students are not expected to attend.
Masks are encouraged but not required.

When are rental iPads given to students?
Students who rent iPads will receive them during the first 2 weeks of school. 

Will Breakfast be served this year? What's for Lunch?
All grade levels will serve breakfast starting on the first day of school. The menu for the first day is below. The menus for the rest of the year will be posted closer to the beginning of school on the HSE District Food Services Page.


Where is the School Calendar?
On the SCE Webpage, under the heading Happenings, you'll find the Calendar link next to a picture of teachers sitting together.

What is the best way to communicate with the school?
SCE makes every effort to reach families with updates and information you need to know. 

Skylerts are a common method. A Skylert is an email sent to every family based on the emails the parents have in Skyward. Adults can change their emails and settings in Skyward to be sure they are receiving all communications.

We attempt to keep SCE's website up-to-date with information you need to know. The District Calendar, lunch menus, school supply lists, upcoming events, and more are available at all times on the website.
